A fine triple fusee quarter
repeating bracket clock. The
brass dial with chapter ring and spandrels has subsidiary strike/silent to the
arch. The fully engraved
backplate is outstanding. The 8
day movement strikes each hour in a bell with pull quarter repeat on a
carillon of 10 bells.
The ebony on fruitwood case
with inverted bell top has reeded columns to the front and fine brass fretwork
to each side of the arch. There
are glass panels and frets to the case side.

An outstanding musical bracket
clock by the famous and sought after maker.
The brass dial with chapter ring and spandrels has subsidiary
strike/silent to the arch and sweep tune hands. The tunes are played each hour on a carillon of 13 bells.
The tunes are engraved across the dial arch and are March, Minuet,
Gavotte, Jig and Garrotte.
The finely engraved backplate
with triple fusee movement and adjustable fly mechanism retains its original
verge escapement and has pull repeat for the music.
The mahogany inverted
bell top case is of fine proportions and pattination with 5 finials and brass
columns, brass bracket feet and glass side panels.
Charles Cabrier is considered
an outstanding maker and has examples of his work at The Royal Museum in
Stockholm. He is also recorded as
making a fine clock for the King of Peking.

The
tunes are played each hour on a carillon of 10 bells and striking each hour on a
single bell.
The back
plate is fully engraved to a very high standard. The verge movement has
pull repeat cords for music and hour strike.
The
inverted bell top case of ebony is finely proportioned and has brass pillars,
feet and inlay with 4 finials to the hood and frets to each side to release the
sound of the music.
