A very rare sporting clock with a cricket scene to the arch and painted corners, having subsidiary
date and seconds dials

The outstanding mahogany case has reeded pillars to the trunk and verre églomisé glass panels

Very pretty early painted dial with flowers and birds to the dial centre. Date and seconds, and most unusual attractively cut hands.

Case of the finest flame mahogany with fine carved pillars to the trunk and base.  Uniquely shaped hood with "shields".

The movement is signed by Simpson and is of outstanding quality.

Simpson is a maker of high repute and his work can be seen at the Prescott Clock and Watch Museum in Liverpool.
