A very rare oval dial, longcase clock, having a picture of Lord
Nelson with his flagship "The Victory" to the arch and phases of the
moon in a most unusual position.
The eight-day movement having rare centre seconds and centre
date calendar.
The magnificent mahogany case is also an outstanding feature of
this clock with massive brass Corinthians. Lion head patterae, reeded pillars
and stringing inlaid into the whole case - which is possibly Gillow's.
The False Plate is also signed "Nicholas, Birmingham"

unusual pendulum.
The superb mahogany case which is possibly
Gillow, has bamboo
style turned pillars to the trunk and turned pillars to the hood. The
whole case is inlaid with marquetry and boxwood stringing.
