A fine quality regulator with dead-beat escapement and maintaining power.

The painted dial has subsidiary seconds.

The mahogany case has barley twist pillars to the trunk with a brass frame and glass door showing the large, compensated pendulum and brass weight.

The hood has reeded pillars and carved fretwork.

Ritchie & Son were very fine clockmakers.

An outstanding, small regulator with finely engraved silvered dial, having subsidiary minute, hour and centre sweep seconds dials.  Five pillar movement and compensated glass jar mercury pendulum.

The quality London Mahogany case is finely proportioned with ebony stringing to the door base and hood.

A fine, outstanding regulator by this excellent clockmaker.
The five pillar movement has six-spoke wheelwork, jewelled pallets and endstones front and back, maintaining power and deadbeat escapement.

The 14" diameter brass & silvered dial is finely engraved showing subsidiary seconds, minutes and hours.  The dial is signed Oldbridge, Birkenhead who were the retailers.  The movement is signed Condliffe, Liverpool.  The large compensated pendulum houses a mercury jar.

The flame mahogany case is very fine and made in the Gothic style with quality carving to the hood and door, bamboo style columns tot he trunk and a double plinth to the base.
